Meet Ioanna Tsakalakos, soprano

Greek American soprano Ioanna Tsakalakos has trained vocally in the United States, Greece, Italy, and Germany. She has a Master of Music (MM) degree in Classical Vocal Performance, a Diploma in Monodia (Voice) from the Athens Conservatory, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Music and Comparative Literature (double major), and a teaching artist certificate.

Performed roles include: Suor Angelica, Liza, Fiordiligi, Miss Pinkerton, Poppea, Pamina, and Madame Goldentrill. Miss Tsakalakos has studied Mimi in two role preparation programs. She also prepared Laetitia while learning Miss Pinkerton. She has performed extensively in opera scenes programs and concerts and has participated in multiple master classes. Performed partial roles include Cio-Cio-San, Mimi, Margeurite, Tosca, and Violetta.
